家里的网断线了，打电话过去Starhub，回拨的时候还在睡觉就没去管它。前几天又发现又不能上网了，就去隔壁台湾小伙那边换了分流器，果然好了。 听到他在放这首非常好听的歌，就问了名字。 Nickeback。从来没有听过他们歌的，原来已经出道挺久了。

Nickelback 最早成立于加拿大的小城Hanna，1996年他们以一张EP唱片Hesher和首张独立专辑Curb开始闯荡乐坛。在没有丝毫名气的情况下，他们想尽办法宣传自己：巡回演出、散发宣传资料和广告，以及发动亲戚朋友向电台打电话要求播放他们的歌曲等等。
2000年初，他们的第二张独立专辑The State问世，给当时几乎完全被国外摇滚乐侵占的加拿大摇滚乐坛带去了一丝本土化摇滚乐的清新。这使他们迅速窜红。而他们追求的post-grunge 音乐风格也成为许多歌迷的最爱。成名后的Nickekback迅速投身于第3张新专辑Silver Side Up的制作，该专辑由Rick Parashar和Randy Staub这两位一流制作人掌舵，这张专辑首次在美国发行并取得了绝佳的成绩，曾经排在Billboard 200排行榜的亚军位置，诞生了多首摇滚单曲榜的冠军单曲，专辑销量也超过了500万张。
Nickelback最近的两张专辑分别是2003年的The Long Road和2005年刚刚发行的All the Right Reasons。
